NESCO brand dehydrators are quality kitchen tools. My preferred dehydrator for making deer/venison jerky is the American Harvest FD-75PR 700-Watt Food Dehydrator. The machine has several features, including a variable temperature control, that makes jerky-making simple and easy.
You'll appreciate not having to move the trays around (as you often have to do in lower-quality models). This lets me run the dehydrator overnight. When I'm making a lot of jerky, such as after my husband has harvested a deer, this saves me time and energy. I run the dehydrator for a few nights in a row and I have enough venison jerky to last months.
We make our own jerky because it's an easy and inexpensive way to enjoy a quality snack, made fresh at home.
